About Us

Swami Sahajanand College Chas, Bokaro was established on 16th June 1984. The College campus is Located in the heart of Bokaro District head quarter beside the NH- 32, being multi faculty and multi disciplinary co-education institute. The institute has presently enrolled 7172 students among 3911 girls students. The Land of the college is 5.08 acres with in built area around 5000 sq. meters. The student pursues various undergraduate courses in Humanities, Arts, Science and Commerce. The College has teaching faulty strength of 34 regular faculty member including a principal, Assistant Professor and 50 Non – Teaching member working on academic arrangement basis since its in caption. A large percentage of students in this college have belonged to scheduled cast, scheduled Tribe, Muslim, economically backward and other backward classes. This has increased with the passage of time. The College has always considered the extracurricular and Co- curricular activities equally important in the holistic development of student and this encourages student in sports & NSS..

The College has made great strides in both the academic and administrative spheres and has provided us with a proper perspective in setting our goals and re-orients our vision. We hope shall be able to great outrushes to the challenges ahead. The challenges that have came up through the continuing process of liberalization, Privatization and globalization.
